IMPORTANT: Your weekly notebook post is not a substitute for being in class!
_____
Also, make sure the following work for you:
—LANGUAGES. A background in Spanish will be particularly valuable. But flexibility with other languages is a good start. Mainly, you need to be comfortable with making educated guesses...
— UNITS. Unless you’ve made prior individual arrangements, I expect everyone enrolled to do the full course for 3 or 4 units.
— ATTENDANCE. attendance is required for all classes. For architecture undergrads, design studio conflicts need to be worked out in advanced so that you can attend all VS185X classes. Understood?
—THURSDAY EVENING SCHEDULE. Class will be held from 6 to 9:30PM. If the group is large, we may sometimes run later than 9:30. You will need to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate this. We will always finish by 10pm.
(The posted class description states that the course is 4 hours a week--however, it's listed as 6 -8:59 on Cal Central schedule because their site is set up for 3 hour blocks--and won't accommodate 6-9:30. )
